Employee Charged With Felony After Stealing Missouri Nursing Home Resident's Medications

Nursing home residents are easy targets for free drugs. At least, that is what some nursing home employees think about the elderly people residing in America's long-term care facilities.

Just recently, Police in Macon, Missouri have arrested a nursing home employee for switching a patient's medications. The employee switched a patient's prescribed medications for an over-the-counter pain reliever. The Callao, Missouri woman was arrested after the Macon Police Department investigated a complaint of the medication theft. The arrested employee has been charged with felony fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony stealing, and misdemeanor abuse of an elderly/disabled person. She was being held in lieu of $26,000.00 cash only bond.
